PoE2 Duelist Ascendancy: Confirmed vs Not Shown Yet

What GGG has confirmed about PoE2 Duelist ascendancy (Exilecon teaser, non-ascended demo builds) and what is still unknown before the reveal.

FAQ

Has GGG shown PoE2 Duelist ascendancy yet?
Only teaser artwork in the deep dive. Mark Roberts said full details come at Exilecon later in the year; names and nodes were not shown.
Were the Bringer of Blades and Scourge Walker builds ascended?
No. Mark said the builds were not even ascended, so the combat shown is below their eventual ascendancy potential.
When will Duelist ascendancy be revealed?
GGG pointed viewers to Exilecon, announced for 7 November New Zealand time in the same presentation.
When does the Duelist class launch?
Jonathan Rogers said the Duelist arrives with Path of Exile 2 1.0 on 11 December 2026.
Should I trust leaked ascendancy names?
Not for confirmed mechanics. Wait for Grinding Gear Games on pathofexile.com, official forums, or the Exilecon stream before treating names or nodes as fact.

What do we know about PoE2 Duelist ascendancy?

Grinding Gear Games has not revealed Duelist ascendancy names, passive trees, or mechanics yet. In the official Duelist deep dive, Mark Roberts stated plainly that the two endgame builds were not ascended, and that ascendancies would be shown at Exilecon. Teaser artwork was displayed in the video; the full reveal is scheduled for Exilecon on 7 November (New Zealand time), ahead of the Duelist arriving in Path of Exile 2 1.0 on 11 December 2026.

What is confirmed from official sources?

These points come from the GGG video or dates GGG announced elsewhere in the same presentation:

  • The Duelist class ships with Path of Exile 2 1.0 on 11 December 2026 (Jonathan Rogers, opening of the deep dive).
  • The two developer builds (Bringer of Blades and Scourge Walker) were played without ascendancy; Mark said their potential goes higher once ascended.
  • Mark said ascendancies are “pretty epic” and showed teaser art on screen, then told viewers to learn more when GGG shows them at Exilecon later this year.
  • Jonathan Rogers closed the event portion by inviting players to Exilecon on 7 November New Zealand time to see what else GGG has been working on.

Nothing in that footage names individual ascendancies, lists nodes, or describes ascendancy-specific skills. Treat any specific class name, leaked screenshot, or third-party tree parse as unverified until GGG posts it on pathofexile.com, the official forums, or a GGG-run stream.

What is not known yet?

GGG has not said:

  • How many Duelist ascendancies exist or what they are called.
  • What each ascendancy changes (passives, skills, stances, parry, or other systems).
  • Whether ascendancy choice locks builds shown in the demo (Bringer of Blades, Scourge Walker).

If a guide or forum post claims “Duelist ascendancy X does Y” without a GGG primary source, it is speculation. This wiki will not list rumoured ascendancy names here.

How can you tell official info from rumours?

Use this quick check before you trust a claim:

  1. Source — Is it Grinding Gear Games (official video, news post, Exilecon stage, or GGG staff on verified channels)? Community datamines and wiki copies do not count as confirmed for this site.
  2. Date — Does the claim match what was actually shown before Exilecon 2026? Anything “leaked” after the teaser art but before the Exilecon reveal is still unknown here.
  3. Scope — Demo builds were explicitly non-ascended. Power you saw in the video is baseline class plus gear/supports, not ascendancy power.

Until then, use Duelist class guide for class mechanics GGG did demonstrate (stances, parry, skills) and Duelist release date for the 1.0 and Duelist launch timeline.
